Coworker.org Brand Identity

Overview: Coworker is a nonprofit organization that believes in the power of all people to make work more humane, just, and fair. Coworker.org is a platform for people to run campaigns, share information, and learn from one another. They are a collective group that provides digital tools and strategic support to help workers express their concerns and ideas, connect with each other, gain public attention, and engage with decision-makers for better workplaces. While at Ghost Note Agency, I helped create a brand that captures the brilliance of the people at Coworker.org and their collective action to work alongside workers across the country.

Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe XD.

Main Role:

  • Creation of the entire Coworker.org brand identity from strategy to implementation.

  • Lead team in creating digital promotional assets along with a website, social media and email graphics, icon style, patterns, and style guide.

  • Collaborated with UI/UX designers to translate the visual branding to a thoughtful web experience.

This logo mark is heavily typographic. The concept focuses on the idea of the power of collaboration and partnership. The loop on the letter “o” connects to the letter beside it - this is meant to further emphasize collaboration and connection. This particular concept also focuses on the root word/prefix of “co-” which is a defined as “ joint; mutual; common: with : together.” Within the logo design, the prefix “co-” is differentiated with a different color as well to use throughout the whole brand system.

The logo had to be versatile and able to adapt to various orientations and color backgrounds. The logo also lives within the website therefore it was important to keep the proper proportion. The single logo mark was also important to integrate within the brand system - the single logo mark would be used on instances such as social avatars.
