Abigail’s Driving School Website

Overview: Abigail’s Driving School was started in 2012 by two Virginia Commonwealth University students. The students were inspired to create a driving school which was able to provide classes in Spanish and English at a reasonable price. As a result, Abigail's Driving School has since become the only English-and-Spanish-language driving school provider in the Richmond Metropolitan area.

The brand identity was a bit restricted, I was tasked to use the existing brand identity with slight tweaks. Overall, I updated the existing color palette along with the typography. I had to use the existing logo as well.

BEFORE THE WEBSITE REFRESH

The website design prior to the refresh was a bit outdated. The site also had poor visual hierarchy and the home page did not capture any overall tone to the site. The goal was to create a home page that set the tone overall. I also had to update the overall look and feel with something that was more modern and easy to navigate. The sample below showcases the website prior to the updates created.

AFTER THE WEBSITE REFRESH

The updated design consisted of 2 new brand fonts: Oswald and Open Sans. The previous color palette consisted of a very dark green. In return, I updated the colors to be brighter shades of green and paired it with a complimentary navy blue for contrast. The full site can be viewed here. Photos have also been updated to further extend the brighter tone for the website.
